I actually saw these pillow covers at a local gift store and had to buy them immediately. Apparently the recent home fashion for silhouetted birds and deer has bitten me hard, too. I wonder if I’ll look back in ten years and cringe of the obvious link between these and the diagonal flying ducks of the 1970′s! Unsure whether I’d regret the off the cuff purchase, but figuring for $30 it wasn’t the worst mistake to make, I was happy to see how cool they looked once at home. Plus, they’re super soft as and comfy. The bold black and white is fantastic on plain white linen and looks equally terrific offset with solids. The other designs I’ve seen of theirs don’t impress me so much; either not incorporating the split design idea well enough or going with odd choices, but here I think they’ve made a hit. Unsurprisingly, Urban Outfitters seem to have a similar line right now and some artists on  Etsy have taken it a step further with wall stenciling, which I love!
